FAQs

Can I customise your cabin designs, or build my own?

Absolutely. Choose from one of our ready-to-go designs, tweak a base model, or go fully custom. From cladding and appliances to tiles, tapware and finishes. If you can imagine it, we can build it!

How do I connect to utilities?

Our cabins come completely wired up for final connection to either on-grid or off-grid utilities. If mains power, water or sewer are available, connecting to those can be a simple option, otherwise our cabins can run fully off-grid. Options include composting toilets, solar power with batteries, and rainwater tanks

How do I install a cabin on my property?

Specific installation method will vary depending on your specific model, foundation type and use case, however generally speaking our TH or LT range can be simply installed with tie-down anchors straight into the ground, and our CA range with some concrete footings + steel house stumps. For more guidance on install method just give us a call!

Where are you based and where do you build?

Our head office is in Sydney, however we have multiple build locations across northern and southern NSW as well as regional VIC. We generally allocate build slots based on proximity to customers (to reduce delivery costs) and build slot availability (so you receive your cabin as soon as possible!).

Do you deliver and install?

Absolutely! We can quote separately for delivery and installation of your cabin on-site.

Does the cabin require 'Development/Planning Approval' from council?

Whilst every council is a little different, generally speaking our 'TH' models (i.e. 2.5m wide cabins built on a 2.5m wide trailer) do not require council approval as they can be classified as a caravan for planning purposes. Our 'LT' models (i.e. 3m wide cabins on a 2.5m trailer) can be classed as a 'trailer + an oversized load' and so also generally do not require council approval. Our 'CA' models (i.e. 3m+ wide cabins on steel skids) will more often require approval as they move into a larger category of building.

What is the lead time on delivery after I order?

Once your order is placed, you can expect your cabin to be delivered in roughly 2-3 months, depending on our build queue. Simply send us a message to get a more accurate timeline - Contact Us.

Where can I see a cabin?

We have two cabins on vineyards both less than 2hrs drive from Sydney (Southern Highlands & Hunter Valley) which are available to book here. We can also arrange a brief viewing if an overnight stay isn't possible.

Do you make 2-bedroom cabins?

Absolutely! We have a variety of 2 bedroom options across our TH, LT and CA range to accommodate more guests or larger families.

How large can you build?

We can build up to 5m wide and 12m long! Just keep in mind access restrictions on your property as 5m wide cabins naturally need a wide birth on delivery.

Do you make cabins on trailers?

Yes, in addition to our signature 3.5m wide 'CA' cabins, we do also have models that fit on the traditional 'tiny house' on a trailer footprint. See the 'TH' range in our brochure.

Do you deliver to my area?

We deliver Australia wide! That being said, Australia is a big place and delivery is calculated on distance. If you live in a more remote area, just let us know where and we will arrange a quote.

Can you build to meet bushfire standards?

Yes, we can upgrade various components of the cabin to meet your specific BAL requirements, all the way up to Flame Zone specification.

Do you provide financing options for your cabins?

There are many lenders out there that appreciate that you are purchasing an income generating asset, and as such are happy to help finance some of the purchase price. Just reach out and we can put you in touch with our finance partner!

Can I list a cabin on AirBnb, Booking.com and other short stay rental platforms?

Definitely! The beauty of using existing short stay marketplaces such as these means that you can reach an audience looking to book accommodation from the day your cabin arrives!

How much could I charge per night?

What you can charge for nightly use of the cabin is dependant on a number of factors, including your location and its popularity, any local competition, the time of year and day of the week. That being said, many locations within a reasonable drive time of a major city can expect to be able to charge anywhere from $300 per night upwards.
